Snowfall on Ben Nevis and Nevis Range

The Ben Nevis HD Webcam is the original webcam to photograph the highest mountain in the UK. It records images every few minutes and uploads them to the Ben Nevis webcam page

Tuesday 21 October 2014
Although not the first new snows of October 2104, photographs taken this afternoon in Fort William by our professional HD WebCam clearly show that summer is gone and the first cold fingers of winter are upon Ben Nevis... the photos showing above were taken during the last couple of daylight hours.

In 2013 the first snow fell on the mountains around Fort William on 16 September and in comparison, the first dusting of snow fell only last week. Although pretty to see, most of this will disappear over the next day or so as milder weather returns to the Highlands.

If you have any exceptional snowy photos of Ben Nevis drop us a line - we may like to publish them with your permission.
