The Ben Bronze Model T Unveiling

The unveiling of The Ben Bronze will take place in Cameron Square, Fort William on Saturday the 19th of May at 11 o’clock. 107 years after Henry Alexander set off from the square to drive his Ford Model T up and down Ben Nevis. Cast from an original 1911 Model T, the Ben Bronze has been manufactured by Powderhall Bronze in Edinburgh. The unveiling event will include a grand parade of over 50 Model T cars through Fort William High Street. The Lochaber Schools Pipe Band and the Lochaber Community Wind Band will provide music in the Square. The Ben Bronze will be unveiled by Mike Munro, the grandson of Henry Alexander.
