Hand Made Highland

I'm Joanne, and Hand Made Highland (an abbreviation of "hand made in the Highlands) began in 2010 when I started making products to sell for a charity cycle I undertook in 2011 through Vietnam and Cambodia. I use Harris Tweed for most of my work, a wonderful cloth with it’s very own act of parliament protecting its traditional production techniques and high quality standards. Every single length of cloth is inspected and printed with the orb logo to indicate that it has passed the inspection process.  I try to be ‘green’ where I can, so often reuse and recycle items such as zips, buttons and linings - please be aware that where reused items are incorporated into the product, there may be signs of previous wear. This won’t render your item any less desirable or functional, and often enhances its unique styling and individuality. Stock turnover is high, so I often make to order - if the item you select is sold I will offer you the opportunity to have one made which will be as close to the original as possible, but can never be completely identical.
