Nevis Range - Fort William's outdoor mountain bike | snowsports activity centre

Fort William's all year round outdoor activity provides mountain gondola rides, mountain restaurant, winter sports and downhill bike tracks

Some people believe that there is a mountain cable car or gondola ride on Ben Nevis there is no such thing.

In actual fact, Fort William's mountain gondola and all year outdoor activity centre Nevis Range, is located on a nearby mountain called Aonach Mor - which is actually a good thing since this allows you to get a view of Ben Nevis from the top of Aonach Mor.  Visit Fort William operates the original Ben Nevis Webcam which also has a preset image on the ski slopes of Aonach Mor and the top of the downhill mountain bike track. Nevis Range is Fort William's all year, outdoor mountain activity centre located 7 miles (20 minutes) from the town centre in Leannachan Forest. Nevis Range operates the only Gondola mountain cable car in the UK, which takes visitors to their mountain restaurant and view-point, which provide superb views across the Great Glen, and beyond. During the spring, summer and autumn Nevis Range is a magnet for downhill mountain biking. Situated in Leannachan Forest, and on the west-facing  site of Aonach Mor, a 4,000 feet mountain, this visitor activity centre offers over 30kms of paths and cycle-ways for everyone to enjoy. Relax with a coffee at the Pinemartins Cafe conveniently located at the bottom station ticket office.

On good days a scenic trip on the mountain gondola is an enjoyable experience. Thomas Telford Corpach Marina Ltd
If you are planning a visit to Fort William by sea be sure to book a berth at Thomas Telford Corpach Marina at the entrance to the Caledonian Canal. Our marina has 45 sheltered berths with fresh water and electricity. Ashore we have first class toilets and shower facilities and a small coffee shop. Close by are shops and pubs with regular transport into Fort William. Our marina is community owned and managed and is not directly involved with the Caledonian Canal. An Cafaidh Mara An Cafaidh Mara is our new coffee shop at the entrance to the Canal within our marina facilities building, open to customers seven days a week.  Check out their social media. Book a berth or slipway use If you are bringing a boat to Fort William we have a sheltered all weather slipway within the marina for launching and car parking of cars and trailers. Book online to launch your boat in Loch Linnhe. You can get to the marina by road along A82/A830 or by mailing train - Corpach Station is 100 metres from the marina. Discovering the Outdoor Capital of the UK from our marina will be easy with excellent transport links, car hire, shops, restaurants and marine services nearby.
