Taransay Bed and Breakfast is a quality, friendly B&B, rated 4 star by Visit Scotland. Our rooms consist of 2 singles (1 private bathroom 1 en-suite) 1 twin (en-suite) and 1 family / double room (en-suite). . We are situated in an elevated position, in a quiet cul-de-sac with spectacular views over Loch Linnhe and the Ardgour Hills. We are a pleasant walk of around 15 mins. along the shores of the Loch to the town where there are plenty of Restaurants, Pubs, Supermarkets and Shops. We are here to make your stay enjoyable, we pride ourselves on our homely welcome, and use of local produce. We offer a full Scottish cooked breakfast, with cereals, toast, yoghurts, fruit juices and a choice of tea or a cafetierre of coffee. Alternatively we offer a cold platter of Scottish cheeses and venison charcuterie. We also have a vegetarian option and can accommodate some other special dietary needs with prior arrangement. Breakfast is all served in our newly re-furbished Breakfast room with stunning views over Loch Linnhe and the Ardgour Hills. All rooms now have new flat screen tv's with dvd players. Books, guides and games can be borrowed. We offer free wifi, free parking,and tea and coffee making facilities We hope to see you soon at Taransay. Bunroy Park
Sheltered by woodland close to the River Spean, Bunroy Park Holiday Lodges nestle in the lovely valley of Glen Spean against the majestic backdrop of Aonach Mor. They offer peace and tranquillity in an idyllic setting yet are within easy reach of the amenities of Fort William and the attractions of the Highlands. They are comfortable, well-insulated, with heating and double-glazing for year round occupation, fully equipped with TV, DVD, cooker, fridge and microwave. The lodges all have fully fitted shower rooms or bathrooms. They also have drying rooms. We welcome dogs in some lodges and there are lovely riverside and woodland paths easily accessible from Bunroy. The village of Roy Bridge with a shop, post office, railway station and bus stop and two hotels serving good food is only a 10 minute walk away. The station is a stop on the West Highland Line, one of the Word’s Great Train journeys. For hill-walkers there are several Munros within easy reach, including Creag Meagaidh, which is also a National Nature Reserve. The Loch Ossian hills are a half-hour train ride away. The gondola at Nevis Range, 7 miles away, takes you 2000 feet up Aonach Mor for some excellent ski-ing in winter and year-round activities and stunning views for all to enjoy. There is good fishing in the area as well as pony-trekking and watersports. The lodges sleep 2 – 4 people and are priced from £210 - £490 per week. Bunroy Park Caravan and Camping site is open from the end of March until the end of October. Tent pitching areas are on level, regularly mown grass, well sheltered by  surrounding woodlands. You can camp by the river, in the spacious main area or nearer to the shower block - it’s your choice. The hard standings for caravans & motorhomes all have electric hookups so you can take the available pitch of your choice close to the shower block or in the more open lower park. The camping site is open from around the end of March to around the end of October and booking is recommended at peak times, particularly for pitches with an electrical hook up. Rose Cottage
This little flat, which is part of the owners home, is perfect for a couple. The flat is self contained. All the accommodation is at ground level with access to a small private garden. Seats and table, herbs and cottage garden plants. Enjoy this sheltered spot with views of Ben Nevis. On a clear night sit out and take in the night sky. Main access to flat from the garden by the French doors. It provides one double bedroom, living room/kitchen with French doors. The shower-room, small and tall with power-shower and a pulley for drying clothes. The kitchen is well equipped. Has a gas hob, electric oven and grill. Fridge with ice box. Lots of lovely crockery and utensils. All linen, including towels, is included. Also all heating, underfloor, works like a big storage heater. Washing machine. Off road parking for 2 cars A welcome pack of fresh flowers, tea, coffee etc and home baking. Have a cuppa before you unpack. There are maps and guides, natural history books and novels. Games and puzzles. D.V.D's and C.D's Near town and trails.Easy walking or cycling from the front door. Ben Nevis and Nevis Range for climbing and skiing are both nearby. Cycle the World Cup Downhill course and the Witches Trail. Take the service or steam train to Mallaig, hire canoes on the Canal, drive off to Ardnamurchan or Glencoe; visit the West Highland Museum; go horse riding and fly fishing 5 minutes walk. Ben Nevis is waiting to be climbed - or just relax and read your book. We are happy to help you plan outings, find a nice cup of coffee or a secluded beach. The accommodation is smart and practical with exposed stone, wooden beams, blue kitchen, painted floors. Dogs are welcome but please discuss with owners when booking.
