Maps, walking books and binoculars, are in the cottages for your use during your stay as well as a selection of non fiction books, games, and DVD’s. Hairdryers and alarm clocks in every bedroom. There is also a BBQ. Each cottage has its own deck area with outside garden furniture. The cottages sit in a well maintained garden that is fenced and gated. There is a storage shed for bikes etc. A welcome hamper of home baking, tea, ground coffee, sugar, milk and jam awaits your arrival. Mingarry is situated in Moidart on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands, to the west of Fort William and north of the Isle of Mull. Moidart is best known as Bonnie Prince Charlie country as he arrived in Kinlochmoidart in August 1745 landing at Castle Tioram on route from France and set sail up Loch Shiel from Dalilea. Mingarry is a small crofting township. There are a number of public dwellings such as a church, which was erected by Hope Scott in 1862, as well as a mixture of traditional crofts, some private houses and the Clanranald Hotel. There is also a hotel, pub and restaurant offering great quality food using local produce. Medical centre can also be found in Acharacle.

This is a large and comfortable apartment with great views in a very convenient quiet  location close to the town centre. It is ideal for a family group or group of friends for a relaxed break or to explore the Highlands of Scotland.The beautiful Cow Hill Circuit which gives access directly to Glen Nevis is a ten minute walk away. Fort William is a popular centre for climbing, walking, scrambling, canoeing, mountain-biking, skiing, orienteering and other outdoor activities. There is also easy access to beautiful walking and cycling opportunities.This beautiful and historic apartment is ideally located within five minutes’ walk of the high street and is less than fifteen minutes’ walk from the railway station. The apartment offers a lovely view over Loch Linnhe, enjoying a peaceful, elevated position.The apartment is split over levels 2 and 3 of a three story C 19 terraced building. It has its own private entrance with a flight of  stairs.The accommodation comprises two or three double bedrooms one of which can also function as a second sitting room/ study. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped.Visitors will love the original oak panelling of this railway engineer’s house built in the 1890s. The large, comfortable main sitting room is equipped with a television. The apartment can accommodate up to 6 person. The minimum let is six days in the high season and four days at other times.   We all had a wonderful time in Fort William, in no small part as a result of the really good accommodation we found ourselves in. The Hayloft
The Hayloft at Lochyside is positioned to one side of our lovely, quiet garden with views towards Ben Nevis and has everything you need to enjoy your visit to the Fort William area. The property is tastefully designed in the upper floor of a self-contained building with an open plan kitchen-diner and lounge, a double bedroom and bathroom that has a bath with shower. Fort William is a 10 minute drive away and a cycle track passes nearby. Lochyside is adjacent to the River Lochy and close to the village of Caol which has a range of shops and a supermarket within walking distance. Re-opened with new owners in May 2017 so we currently have good availability - contact us soon! Guests at The Hayloft have exclusive use of the rear garden that is viewed from the covered decked area at the apartment entrance. The well tended, sheltered garden has mature shrubs and plants and benefits from the sun most of the day. Private parking is provided. Also close by and a short drive or easy walk, is historical Old Inverlochy Castle, Neptune's Staircase on the Caledonian Canal and Ben Nevis Distillery. The cycle route that passes by heads towards the Caledonian Canal and onward to Corpach or North, following the canal to Gairlochy and beyond. In the other direction from The Hayloft the route crosses the River Lochy and heads towards Fort William or Nevis Range We have Wifi, free parking and all heating, electricity, towels and bedding are included. Central heating is provided by an oil fired boiler and a feature-fire with a boost function is in the lounge area.   A UHD Television with Netflix is installed and free Wifi is provided.   The kitchen has a cooker with double oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and all cutlery, crockery and glassware. A fridge with freezer compartment and washing machine is installed.
