Accommodation in the Glencoe area

Accommodation choices in the Glencoe area near Fort William

Glencoe, Kinlochleven, Onich and Appin areas are just south of Fort Willliam on the A82. The area has a very good selection of Glencoe Hotels, self catering cottages and chalets, guesthouses and B&Bs. There is also one well established camping and touring park - Invercoe Highland Holidays, located on the shore of Loch Leven.

On the north shore of Loch Leven by the Ballachulish Bridge is Loch Leven Hotel & Distillery - well worth a visit.

Ballachulish Hotel is a beautiful building on the south shore by Ballachulish Bridge and would be an excellent base to explore this part of Lochaber and north Argyll. The evening sunsets can be spectacular. The Glencoe Inn is located by Loch Leven and opposite the village of Glencoe as you descent from the mountains down to the sea on your way north on the A82. On the road down to Oban The Holly Tree Hotel has a delightful setting by the loch where the surrounding panoramic scenery changes every five minutes.

There is also a 5 star hotel in Port Appin, a pleasant 15 minute drive down the Oban road. The Airds Hotel is a Relais Chateaux quality hotel offering excellent hotel accommodation and gourmet dining experience.

We also recommend The Clachaig Inn and Glencoe Mountain Cottages overlooking the mountains of Glencoe.
