Cameron Square in Fort William was completely redesigned with a new layout for visitors and local people to relax and enjoy. This historical location in this historical town is where men from the surrounding area gathering in times of war to sign up as fighting soldiers in the British Army. Most likely these men would became part of a Highland or Scottish Regiment like the Cameron and Seaforth Highlanders.

The Excellent West Highland Museum is also location in Cameron Square where you can learn about the Jacobites from the 1715 and 1745 Rebellions and the effects these conflicts had on the town and local community. Tucked away beside the museum is Garrison West - a nice restaurant bar to relax in with a log stove.

A fabulous facility to Cameron Square is Angus MacDonald's new cinema and cafe/bar, completed in June 2020.

Today this attractive square is a great place to meet up with friends and perhaps to watch and listen to some of the occasional musicians who come here to perform. The granite seating is attractive and light in colour and along with all the other features makes a good addition to visitor facilities in Fort William. Cameron Square has a full size, cast bronze of a Model T Ford which was created from a cast taken from a real model T. Lots of people enjoy sitting on it to have their photo taken. A model T has been to the summit of Ben Nevis.
