Kilchoan Village
Kilchoan is a small community near the most westerly point of the UK, located on the shore of Loch Sunart. CalMac operate aferry to Tobermory on Mull
Kilchoan village and community is one of the more remote communities in the Lochaber area and is well worth a day-out visit whilst touring around the Ardnamurchan peninsula. In the summer months a Caledonian MacBrayne ferry operates from Kilchoan on Loch Sunart to Tobermory on the Isle of Mull.
Kilchoan has fantastic village hall where you can relax and enjoy locally produced snacks and get lots of local information.
The area is mostly small fixed farms which we call Crofts. These are family run businesses who also offer bed and breakfast or self catering holiday accommodation.
The area is totally unspoilt, peaceful and perfect if you need to escape to regain some sanity - you might not even be able to check emails and send texts - but who cares.. you might be out wird-watching or gone fishin'.
