Glenuig is a tiny community located in the area called Moidart on the northern bounds of the Ardnamurchan peninsula. The village hall is the centre of the community activity which regularly has live entertainment and community events.
Access to Glenuig by public road was only made possible in 1966, and mains electricity arrived in 1983. The pride of the village is their lovely village hall which hosts a fantastic array of events throughout the year. The nearby Glenuig Inn offers accommodation and good food and drink as well as watersport activites. They often have a good cask ale on too !
The views across to the Small Isles of Eigg and Rum from this stretch of coast are quite simply unparalleled. The bay is sheltered and has a good anchorage for visiting yachts. We believe there is a unique smokehouse in the village where you just might find some tasty morsels of smoked cheese and other delights.
