The Lochaber area is a superb area for watersports and, in particular, sailing and cruising.
Fort William has its very own sailing club - Lochaber Yacht Club, established in 1954 and the only Royal Yachting Association recognised teaching establishment in the area. The club is a friendly family oriented sailing club and welcomes new members each year. The club has a Club Night when members of the public can come down to the water to see what's going on and to perhaps have a go.
